How to use it

Step 1: Copy the Instagram post or Reel URL

  • On Instagram, tap the three dots (⋯) on any post or Reel and select "Copy Link".
  • Feed videos, Reels, IGTV, and public Story links are all supported.

Step 2: Format & aspect ratio detection

  • We identify the content type (Reel, feed video, IGTV, or Story) and parse the native aspect ratio — 9:16 for Reels, 1:1 or 4:5 for feed posts, 16:9 for IGTV.
  • Audio track metadata is extracted, including whether it uses Instagram's music library or original audio.

Step 3: View engagement & content metadata

  • See like count, comment count, and view count (for Reels/IGTV) at the time of analysis.
  • Caption text, hashtags, tagged accounts, and location tags are extracted for content strategy research.

Step 4: AI content analysis

  • Ask: "What products are shown in this Reel?", "Summarize the caption", or "What hashtag strategy is this post using?".
  • Great for influencer vetting, brand partnership audits, and competitive content analysis.

Key features

Multi-Format Support: Reels, Feed, IGTV, Stories

Instagram uses different aspect ratios and encoding for each format. We detect whether the content is a Reel (9:16), feed post (1:1 or 4:5), IGTV (16:9), or Story (9:16 with 15s segments), and parse the native resolution for each.

Engagement Data Without Business Account

See public engagement metrics — likes, comments, video views, and saves — without needing Instagram Business or Creator account access. Useful for competitive analysis and influencer vetting.

Caption, Hashtag & Location Extraction

Extract the full caption text, all hashtags (including buried ones), tagged accounts, and location tags. Export for hashtag research, content calendar planning, or trend tracking.

Audio & Music Track Detection

Identify whether the video uses original audio, Instagram's music library, or a remix. See the track name, artist, and whether the audio is currently trending on Reels.

No Instagram Login Required

Analyze any public Instagram content from your browser without logging into Instagram. Privacy-first processing — no URLs or results stored beyond your session.

Frequently asked questions

Can I analyze Instagram Reels with this tool?

Yes — paste any Reel URL and we extract the native 9:16 resolution, audio track metadata, engagement stats, caption, and hashtags.

What is the difference between analyzing a Reel vs. a feed video?

Reels are vertical (9:16) and often use Instagram's music library. Feed videos can be square (1:1) or portrait (4:5) and typically use original audio. Our analyzer detects the format automatically and adjusts the metadata extraction accordingly.

Can I see how many views an Instagram video has?

Yes — for Reels and IGTV, we extract the public view count along with likes and comments. Feed video view counts are also shown when publicly available.

Does it work with Instagram Stories?

Yes, for public Story links that are still active. Stories are analyzed as 9:16 segments (up to 15 seconds each) with audio and sticker metadata extraction.

Do I need an Instagram account to use this?

No — the analyzer works with public content only. No Instagram login or account connection is required. Private accounts cannot be analyzed.

Can I analyze Instagram carousel posts that include videos?

Yes — if a carousel post contains video slides, we analyze each video slide separately, extracting resolution, duration, and audio for each one.
