AI VIDEO INTELLIGENCE

Facebook Video Analyzer: Analyze and Extract Video Information

Analyze Facebook videos, Reels, Watch content, and Live replays to extract resolution, encoding details, and engagement metrics. Facebook uses its own video infrastructure with SD and HD tiers, and Memories.ai parses both to show you every available quality option. Also supports Facebook-linked Messenger video shares and cross-posted Instagram content, making it a single tool for Meta's entire video ecosystem.

How to use it

Step 1: Copy the Facebook video URL

  • Click the three dots (⋯) on any Facebook video post and select "Copy link".
  • Facebook Watch URLs, Reel links, Live replay links, and shared Messenger video links all work.

Step 2: SD/HD tier detection

  • Facebook serves videos in SD (360p/480p) and HD (720p/1080p) tiers. We detect which tiers are available for the specific video.
  • For Facebook Reels, we also parse the vertical (9:16) source resolution and detect whether it was cross-posted from Instagram.

Step 3: Engagement & page context

  • See reactions (like, love, haha, wow, sad, angry), comment count, share count, and view count.
  • Page/profile name, post date, and caption text are extracted for content auditing.

Step 4: AI-powered video understanding

  • Ask: "What is this ad promoting?", "Summarize the video", or "Is this a Facebook Live replay?".
  • Useful for ad research, brand monitoring, and competitive content analysis.

Key features

Meta Ecosystem Coverage

Analyze videos from Facebook feed posts, Facebook Watch, Facebook Reels, Live replays, and Messenger-shared videos — all from one tool. Cross-posted Instagram content is detected and analyzed with its original metadata.

SD/HD Quality Tier Breakdown

Facebook encodes videos in separate SD and HD tiers, sometimes with different codecs. We show both tiers with resolution, bitrate, and file size so you can compare quality options and detect whether HD is available.

Reaction & Engagement Breakdown

Unlike platforms with simple like counts, Facebook has six reaction types. We break down reactions individually (like, love, haha, wow, sad, angry) alongside comments, shares, and views for richer engagement analysis.

Live Replay Analysis

Analyze Facebook Live replays to extract the full duration, peak viewer count, and stream quality. Useful for event organizers and brands evaluating the performance of their live broadcasts.

No Facebook Login Required

Analyze any public Facebook video without logging into Facebook. Privacy-first processing with no data stored beyond your active session. Works on desktop and mobile browsers.

Frequently asked questions

Can I analyze Facebook Reels?

Yes — paste any Facebook Reel URL and we extract the 9:16 vertical resolution, audio track, engagement data, and detect whether it was cross-posted from Instagram.

Does it work with Facebook Live replays?

Yes. We analyze Live replay videos to show stream quality, total duration, and engagement metrics including reactions, comments, and shares.

Can I see the full reaction breakdown (not just likes)?

Yes — Facebook's six reaction types (like, love, haha, wow, sad, angry) are broken down individually, giving you richer engagement context than a simple like count.

Does it support Facebook Watch videos?

Yes — paste Facebook Watch URLs and we extract the same metadata as regular feed videos, including HD availability and engagement stats.

Do I need a Facebook account?

No — the analyzer works with public content only. No Facebook login or account connection is needed. Videos from private profiles or closed groups cannot be analyzed.

Can it detect if a Facebook Reel was cross-posted from Instagram?

Yes — when a Reel is cross-posted, we detect the Instagram origin and show metadata from both platforms when available.
